Journaling Solution
We offer two options for companies that want to retain e-mails for auditing or compliance needs. With Microsoft Exchange Server, we can get a copy of every incoming, outgoing, and internal e-mail that goes through our system. With Journaling, that copy of every e-mail is sent to a spare mailbox that retains all of these e-mails until deleted. This feature is often used for auditing purposes. However, these e-mails can be easily altered and destroyed - therefore, this repository typically cannot be used for legal matters. Companies typically also export this mailbox to a .pst (Personal Folder File) file on a monthly basis and burn onto a DVD for historical archiving.
