Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLB Act)
The Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, enacted in 1999, imposes rules on banks, brokerage firms, tax preparation firms, insurance companies, consumer credit reporting agencies and numerous other financial services firms and dictates how they handle their customers’ personal financial data.
