Outlook Manual Configuration (Any Exchange Version)

There are many steps for manually configuring a mailbox in Outlook. We recommend using the automatic setup tool for configuring your account.
Configuring Outlook to connect to Exchange 2007 Exchange 2010

If the Outlook Auto Setup Tool is not working due to conflict with antivirus software, group policy, 64-bit Outlook, or any other reason or if you are setting up the account on a terminal server, you may need to manually configure the mailbox.

These instructions work for Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010 on Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

  1. Close Outlook.

  2. Click the Start Menu and go to the Control Panel.

  3. Go to User Accounts.

  4. Open the "Mail" application.

  5. Click "Show Profiles".

  6. Click "Add".

  7. Type in the user's email address and click "OK".
