Microsoft Outlook 2007 Slow When Offline or Personal File Folder Over 2GB

Global Address Lists (GAL's) are built/updated every day and then distributed to Outlook:

Your organization's GAL is updated every 24 hours on our network (typically overnight)
Outlook 2003 downloads the updates to the GAL every 24 hours

If you are using Outlook 2003 or 2007 you can attempt to force Outlook to download a new copy of your GAL. To do this:

Open Outlook.
Click Tools and select "Send/Receive".
Select "Download Address Book" from the drop-down menu.
Click OK to download new changes
