Active Directory Tools

123Together.com offers three Active Directory tools providing dedicated hosted Exchange users with the ability to synchronize passwords, conduct batch migrations and auto synchronization from their Active Directory to the hosted Exchange server.

Active Directory Password Synchronization

This is a C++ event sync program that listens to two events:

1. When a password change is initiated.


2. When a password change has been completed.

In the first event, it checks to see if the domain controller has an internet connection. If no internet connection is detected by the server, the user is not allowed to change the password. If an internet connection is detected by the server, the event sync sends the password using https to the 123Together.com API, which updates the password on the hosted Exchange mailbox.

Users can continue to change their password via Ctrl-Alt-Delete. They will not be required to remember two different passwords for the operating system and email. Password synchronization between environments is completely transparent to end users.

Pricing: $100/month. Setup Fee: 3 hours of setup time is included. After 3 hours, there is a $150/hour charge for the remainder of the setup time.

 

Active Directory Batch Migration Tool

The batch migration tool is a .Net application installed by 123Together.com administrators and is integrated with your ADUC (Active Directory Users and Computers). The batch migration tool provides for one-way synchronization; meaning changes to your active directory will be updated on your hosted Exchange server.  The hosted Exchange control panel will not update your Active Directory.

The tool is used to migrate and maintain the following Active Directory entities:

• Exchange Users
• Distribution Lists
• Contacts

The user simply creates entities in ADUC, and uses this tool to fetch the data and add it to the 123Together.com control panel with just a few clicks.

The Batch Migration tool has been tested with Windows XP and Windows 2008 servers.

Active Directory Auto-Synchronization

The auto-sync tool is installed by 123Together.com administrators and integrated with your ADUC (Active Directory Users and Computers). This tool monitors changes in your environment and updates the hosted Exchange control panel automatically. 

The Active Directory Auto-Sync tool is used to migrate and maintain the following Active Directory entities:

• Exchange Users
• Distribution Lists
• Contacts

The Auto-Sync tool is entirely automated, runs quietly in the background, and is seamless to end users.

The Auto-Sync tool has been tested with Windows XP and Windows 2008 servers.
