Access Your Hosted Exchange Mailbox From Entourage

If you use a Macintosh your options for accessing email are:

  1. Microsoft Entourage 2008.
  2. Outlook Web Access. Log in here.
  3. Any email client that supports POP3 or IMAP.
    Note: This option does not give you access to MS Exchange features such as shared calendaring, backup, Public Folders, etc.

Prerequisites for Configuring Entourage 2008:

  1. Mac Office and Entourage version 11.2.1 or later. If you need to upgrade to this version of Entourage the download can be found here.
  2. Your Outlook setup username, password, web mail URL, etc. This information can be found in either your welcome setup email or you can log into the 123Together Control Panel and click "Outlook Setup."

Setup Steps:



From inside Entourage 2008:

  1. Click Tools.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Select Exchange tab.
  4. Click New.
  5. Click Configure account manually.



On the Account Settings tab enter:

  1. Account Name: Enter a name, such as 123Together Mail

  2. Personal Information:
    • Name: Enter your name here
    • Email Address (Primary Email Address): user@yourdomain.com

  3. Server Information:
    • Account ID (company.username): YourDomain.JohnDoe
    • Domain: MAIL
    • Password: Enter your password here

  4. Exchange Server:
    • Exchange Server 2003: https://webmail.123Together.com or Dedicated RPC URL. If you are not sure what your Dedicated RPC URL is, please check with your administrator.
    • Exchange Server 2007: https://exch1.123together.com/exchange/username@domain.com (replace username@domain.com with your full email address)
    • This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) - Check
    • Override default DAV port: 443 (default) - Unchecked by default



On the Advanced tab enter:

  1. Public Folder Settings:
    • Public Folder Server: https://webmail.123Together.com or Dedicated RPC URL. If you are not sure what your Dedicated RPC URL is, please check with your administrator.
    • This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) - Check
    • Override default DAV port: 443 (default) - Leave unchecked

  2. Directory Settings:
    • LDAP server: Leave blank
    • This server requires me to log on - Checked by default
    • This LDAP server requires a secure connection (SSL) - Uncheck
    • Override default LDAP port: 3268 (default) - Unchecked by default
