Setup AutoDiscover for Microsoft Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2007
For the Auto Connect feature and other Outlook features you will need a special DNS record called Auto Discover.
You will need to add one of the two entries below to your DNS hosting provider’s control panel to setup Auto Discover. You may have to contact your DNS support to have the record added.
Use the following parameters to create a new SRV record:
Name or Domain: Yourdomain.com
Service: _autodiscover
Protocol: _tcp
Priority: 0
Weight: 0
Port Number: 443
Host: Exch1.MyOutlookOnline.com
Keep in mind that it might take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect.
Use the CNAME record below ONLY if the SRV record is NOT possible.
Point the CNAME record for autodiscover.yourdomain.com to:
Exch1.MyOutlookOnline.com
Note: One of the above records must be entered into your DNS to have full functionality of Outlook 2007.
